Client Services – Services for Renters – Budget and Credit Counseling for Renters

Mission of Peace National Corporation’s Budget and Credit Counseling Program is an individualized process, designed to meet your personal needs and goals.

The process begins with a detailed analysis of resources and the creation of a personalized budget. The budget process involves far more than plugging in an arbitrary set of numbers, created with ideal financial circumstances in mind. MOPNC counselors emphasize that creating a budget consists of making choices, determining available funds, and establishing long and short term financial goals that are important to you.

MOPNC’s Budget and Credit Counseling Program also offers important education regarding credit scores and the true costs of credit. Counselors explain the importance of credit scores, and what this can mean to you in terms of costs of borrowing, insurance, utility and services fees, or even when applying for jobs. Many people who have never used credit don’t realize that a poor credit score can negatively affect access to services or employment.

Our counselors can make recommendations on how to improve your credit score, not just in anticipation of a major credit purchase, but as a basic aspect of sound financial planning. Many credit reports contain inaccurate or outdated information, which can be removed with guidance by a MOPNC counselor. READ MORE
